About Lanzarote
People come to Lanzarote for its volcanoes and for César Manrique: the Fire Mountains of Timanfaya, Jameos del Agua, Cueva de los Verdes and the Mirador del Río. In between are the pit-planted vines of La Geria, the green Charco de los Clicos at El Golfo and the old town of Teguise. At sea, the Papagayo coves by boat or kayak, sunset dolphin cruises and the ferry to La Graciosa. Four or five days cover the essentials, and it barely rains all year.
