Our take
It's the easiest way to see La Graciosa in a day if you don't want to sort out ferry, bike and lunch yourself, and the rating holds up across more than two thousand reviews. The trade-off is that you barely set foot on the island: time ashore is limited to Caleta de Sebo, and you won't reach Las Conchas or Montaña Amarilla. If you want to explore it, take the ferry and hire a bike.

Meeting point
Órzola harbour in northern Lanzarote, or the pickup point nearest your accommodation.

The experience
What you'll see
A full-day trip to La Graciosa, the eighth inhabited Canary Island, across the water from the Famara cliffs. It combines the scheduled ferry with a sailing catamaran along the island's south coast.
- Caleta de Sebo, the village of sand streets where the ferry docks, with about 45 minutes of free time.
- The island's south coast by sailing catamaran, inside the marine reserve.
- A stop off Playa Francesa to swim, take out a kayak or snorkel.
- Paella cooked on board, fruit and an open bar.
How it works
You're picked up at the point nearest your accommodation (there are around twenty across the island) and taken to Órzola harbour. If you have a car you can go straight there: the guide and group wait at the port. Note that there's no pickup in Playa Blanca on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays, and it isn't guaranteed if you book less than 24 hours ahead.
The fast ferry takes about 30 minutes to Caleta de Sebo. After your free time in the village you board the catamaran with a welcome mojito and spend almost four hours sailing, swimming and eating. Swimming is from the boat: you don't land on the beach. Then it's the ferry back and the transfer to your area.
If the weather forces a cancellation, you can choose another date or ask for a full refund. The operator notes that it sells out easily in high season.
Who I'd recommend it to
- Families and anyone who wants a day at sea without planning anything.
- Anyone without a car to get to Órzola.
- Anyone who prefers swimming and sailing to walking sandy tracks in the sun.
Who I wouldn't recommend it to
- Anyone who wants to explore La Graciosa: Las Conchas and Montaña Amarilla are not included. Read how to get to La Graciosa on your own.
- Anyone prone to seasickness: the El Río strait can be choppy.
- Anyone looking for a party atmosphere: party groups are not allowed.
Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchair users.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with a full refund.
