Our take
The most direct way to see the north's two lava tubes in a morning, with tickets sorted and a guide inside Cueva de los Verdes. If you have a full day, combining these caves with Timanfaya on a longer tour is better value.

The experience
What you will see
- Cueva de los Verdes, a lava tube from the La Corona volcano.
- Jameos del Agua, the part of the same tube transformed by César Manrique.
- The view over La Graciosa from the Guinate viewpoint.
How it works
You're picked up at a stop near your hotel and the coach heads north. First there's a short stop at the Guinate viewpoint, then an almost hour-long guided visit of Cueva de los Verdes, followed by another hour to explore Jameos del Agua at your own pace. It takes about five hours in total, with no lunch stop.
Who I recommend it for
- Anyone who wants to see both northern caves without a car.
- Anyone with just a morning free.
Who I don't recommend it for
- Anyone with reduced mobility or claustrophobia.
- Anyone staying in Playa Blanca: there's no pickup there.
Accessibility
Cueva de los Verdes is not accessible for people with reduced mobility, including those using a walking stick.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with a full refund.
