Our take
It is one of the most original and best-rated activities on the island (4.9/5), and it is more of a real hike than a quick photo with animals. Wear proper shoes and bring plenty of water, as the ground is stony and there is little shade.

The experience
What you will see
- Five tame Majorero goats that walk with you.
- Quiet trails near El Cardón mountain.
- Views over the desert landscape and inland mountains.
How it works
The guide introduces you to the goats and you feed them corn. Then you set off on a hike of about 6 km over rough ground; the goats run free at times and you take turns walking them on a lead. Halfway there is a snack with goat cheese and local produce before you return to the start.

- Anyone with low fitness or mobility problems.
- Anyone wanting a short, flat stroll.
