Our take
It's the shortest and easiest way to reach Cofete if you're staying in the south and don't want to take a hire car down that track. Three hours only covers the viewpoint and the beach, but that's the essential part; if you also want Punta de Jandía or El Puertito, look for a longer safari.

The experience
What you will see
- The dirt track between Morro Jable and the west coast.
- The Mirador del Viento, overlooking the whole area.
- Cofete village and the story of Villa Winter.
- Cofete beach, over 12 km of untouched sand.
How it works
You're picked up at your hotel in the south and, from Morro Jable, the 4x4 climbs the track to the viewpoint. Then you drop down to Cofete, where the guide tells the story of the village and the villa, and you get around 40 minutes free on the beach before heading back. Each vehicle carries up to six people.
Who I recommend it for
- Anyone staying in Jandía or Costa Calma who wants to see Cofete without driving.
- Anyone short on time looking for a half-morning trip.
Who I don't recommend it for
- Anyone who gets carsick on bumpy, winding tracks.
- Anyone wanting a relaxed swim: beach time is short.
Accessibility
Not suitable for people with mobility impairments or wheelchair users.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with a full refund.
