The more of you there are, the less each person pays. This guide brings together everything we sell that is priced per group or run privately, with the real price tables from each activity.

Private walking tours: the best value per group

  • Gran Vía: two hours from the Centenary Model by Plaza de España to Plaza de Callao, covering Beaux-Arts and Art Deco architecture and the historic cinemas. It is wheelchair and pushchair accessible, which helps with older group members.
  • Jewish Madrid: two hours on more than a thousand years of history that is barely visible in the city today, starting near Madrid's Jewish Community. A niche tour for history-minded groups.

Tuk-tuks for groups of 6 to 10

The electric tuk-tuks leave from Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo, opposite the Thyssen Museum, with an audio guide in 11 languages, water and wifi. The short route covers the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Sol, La Latina and Gran Vía; the complete one adds the Bernabéu and the Salamanca district. Book all the tuk-tuks for the same time so the group stays together. Bookings are non-refundable, so book once your numbers are final. For a celebration with music, the party tuk-tuk is €150 per vehicle.

Private day trip: El Escorial and Cuelgamuros

A driver and an official guide pick you up at your hotel at 9 am or 10 am and take you to the Monastery of El Escorial (basilica, library, royal apartments and Pantheon of Kings) and the Valley of Cuelgamuros. Tickets are included; lunch is not. It takes about five and a half hours in total. Note: the monastery is closed on Mondays and it is not wheelchair accessible.

Team dinner or after-work drinks

  • Private century-old taverns tour: 2 h 10 min through taverns more than one and two hundred years old, with two drinks and two tapas per person. Minimum age 12. It works very well as an aperitivo before a group dinner.
  • Wine and tapas in hidden bars: four stops with at least one glass of wine at each, in a small group of up to 10 per booking, €90 per person.
  • Paella and sangria workshop: the whole group cooks and the paella is lunch or dinner. It is a shared group, so there may be other participants.

Private cultural visits

The private Royal Palace visit (€141 per person, minimum 2) includes an official guide, skip-the-line entry and hotel pick-up, and you choose the start time. The Prado Museum private visit (€146 per person) lasts three hours. Both suit clients or colleagues in town on business with a free morning.

Practical tips

  • Book ahead: two or three weeks for groups of more than 8, especially in spring and autumn.
  • One person coordinates: they book and share each activity's meeting point with the group.
  • Mix it up: a private tour in the morning and the taverns in the evening works better than two long activities on the same day.
  • Accessibility: the Gran Vía tour is accessible; the tuk-tuks, El Escorial and the taverns are not.

Common mistakes

  • Comparing a private tour's "from" price with a group tour's per-person price: from 4 or 6 people, the private option often costs less than it looks.
  • Booking tuk-tuks before the guest list is final: there are no refunds.
  • Planning El Escorial on a Monday.
