Our take
It's an easy, cheap way to swap the southern beaches for the green villages of the north, with the Arehucas visit included. It's a big coach and doesn't go up to the summits; if you also want to see Roque Nublo, pick another trip.

The experience
What you will see
- Firgas, the "village of water", with its fountains, cascades and tiles of the seven islands.
- Arucas and its volcanic-stone church of San Juan Bautista.
- The Arehucas distillery, one of the oldest in Spain, with a rum tasting.
- Teror, with cobbled streets and wooden balconies.
How it works
You're picked up at or near your hotel in the south and the coach heads north. First stop is Firgas for half an hour; next comes Arucas, with time to explore the old town and visit the Arehucas distillery. You finish with an hour of free time in Teror, where you can have lunch, before returning south.

Who I don't recommend it for
- Anyone looking for a small group.
- Anyone who wants to see the summits and Roque Nublo.
