Our take
It's the all-in option in the south: four hours with food, drinks and a swim, compared with two hours on the dolphin boat that also leaves from Morro Jable. It's worth it if you want the boat to be your plan for the day; if you only want to see dolphins, the short trip is cheaper. Check the wind: in rough seas it's far less enjoyable.

The experience
What you'll see
- The volcanic south coast of Jandía from a 23-metre catamaran.
- Dolphins and other cetaceans, if they show up.
- Turquoise coves for a swim.
How it works
You board the Magic Select in Morro Jable harbour, or you're picked up in Costa Calma, Esquinzo, Jandía or Morro Jable if you choose the transfer. After the safety briefing, the published itinerary splits the four hours like this: an hour and a half looking for dolphins, a 30-minute swim stop, an hour for the meal on board and an hour sailing back.
The meal is chicken mozárabe with rice and vegetables and drinks are an open bar of water, soft drinks, beer and wine. It's the long version of the Morro Jable dolphin trips: more hours, with food and drinks included.
Practical tips
- Book ahead: the operator itself warns that it sells out easily.
- Pickup: it doesn't reach every hotel; the points are about a five-minute walk away.
- Sea: the south coast is more sheltered, but in strong wind the catamaran moves.
- What to bring: swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and a layer for the way back.
- Special diets: the menu is fixed; if you have allergies, tell the operator when booking.
Who I'd recommend it to
- Anyone staying in Jandía, Morro Jable or Costa Calma who wants a full boat day.
- Groups and couples looking for a relaxed plan with food and drinks included.
Who I would NOT recommend it to
- Anyone who gets seasick: it's four hours at sea.
- Anyone who only wants to see dolphins: the two-hour boat does the job for less.
- Anyone staying in the north of the island.
Accessibility
Not suitable for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with a full refund.
