Palau de la Música Catalana tickets: guided tour, price and what to do if sold out

Short answer

The self-guided visit costs €20 and the guided tour €24 on `palaumusica.cat`, every day from 9:00 to 15:30, and it lasts about 50 minutes. If your time slot is sold out, try another one or the ticket office, which sells same-day tickets only (€1 extra per ticket). Children under 10 go free. Another way to see the inside is to go to a concert: the ticket is separate, but you see the hall full and with music.

1. Check the official website again

The official site is palaumusica.cat. Prices for 2026:

  • Self-guided visit with leaflet: €20.
  • Guided tour: €24, in several languages depending on the time.
  • Reduced: €20 for over-65s and under-35s; €14 for residents of Catalonia; €13 for people with a disability below 65%.
  • Free: accompanied children under 10 and people with a disability of 65% or more.

Visiting hours: every day, 9:00 to 15:30. The visit lasts about 50 minutes and takes in the Concert Hall, the grand staircase, the Foyer and the Sala Lluís Millet. If you arrive late, you can't join the group.

2. The ticket office

The ticket office sells same-day tickets only, with €1 extra per ticket:

  • Monday to Saturday, 8:30 to 21:00;
  • Sundays and public holidays, 8:30 to 15:30.

At Christmas: on 24 December it opens 8:30 to 19:00, on the 25th it is closed in the morning and on the 31st it opens 8:30 to 18:00.

3. An authorised resale ticket

If the official website doesn't have the time you want, the listing below sells the same self-guided visit for €20, without going through the ticket office. It's the quickest option when you're already in Barcelona.

4. A concert

The visit does not include a concert. But the hall looks better full and with music. Check the programme on the official website: there are classical, choral, guitar and flamenco series. Always buy on palaumusica.cat or at its ticket office.

5. What you can see without a ticket

  • The facade on Carrer de Sant Pere Més Alt, with mosaic columns and the sculptural group of Catalan folk song on the corner.
  • Óscar Tusquets' extension, with the square next to the church of Sant Francesc de Paula.
  • The Cafè Palau, in the Foyer, open every day from 9:00 to midnight: with a coffee you see part of the Modernista interior.

Mistakes to avoid

  1. Buying from sites that imitate the official one. There are similar-looking domains that resell tickets with a surcharge. The official site is palaumusica.cat.
  2. Going in the afternoon. The last visit is at 15:30; after that you only get in with a concert ticket.
  3. Bringing a suitcase or a large backpack. Large bags are not allowed.
  4. Counting on a refund. Tickets cannot be changed or refunded, even if a space is closed for rehearsals.

In one sentence

If your time slot is sold out, try another one, the same-day ticket office or the authorised resale ticket, and if you miss out on a visit, check the concert programme; how it fits into your trip is in Barcelona in 3 days.
