Our take
It is the Modernista visit that most surprises people who have already seen the Sagrada Família and Casa Batlló, and it is a good deal cheaper. The concert hall in daylight is spectacular. Book a morning slot, when more light comes through the skylight.

The experience
What you will see
The Palau de la Música Catalana (Lluís Domènech i Montaner, 1905-1908) is the most famous concert hall of Modernisme and has been a World Heritage Site since 1997.
The route
- Lobby and grand staircase, with yellow glass balustrades and columns decorated with flowers.
- Sala Lluís Millet, with the balcony of mosaic-covered columns overlooking the street.
- The concert hall, with the central stained-glass skylight in the shape of an inverted sun, the muses on the stage and Wagner's horses above the arch.
Tip
Go on a sunny morning: the light coming through the skylight and the large windows is what makes the hall unique. It is a 10-minute walk from the Cathedral and El Born.
Accessibility
Wheelchair accessible according to the provider.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance, with a full refund.
