Meeting point
PortAventura World, Av. de l'Alcalde Pere Molas, Vila-seca, Tarragona
PortAventura is 1 hour from Barcelona by train (direct train to PortAventura station from Barcelona Sants). By car, take the AP-7 motorway and exit at PortAventura. Large on-site car parks available. The experience
Spain's biggest theme park resort
PortAventura World is the largest theme park resort in Spain and one of the five most visited in Europe. The three-park combo ticket gives you access to the full resort: the main PortAventura World theme park, Ferrari Land, and Caribe Aquatic Park water park.
PortAventura World
The main park is divided into six themed areas — Mediterranean, Polynesia, Far West, México, China, and SésamoAventura (for younger children).
The roller coasters:
- Shambhala — Europe's tallest hypercoaster, 76 metres, 134 km/h
- Dragon Khan — 8 inversions; the most iconic coaster in Spain
- Furius Baco — hydraulic launch to 135 km/h in 3 seconds
- Stampida — wooden twin coaster through the Far West area
Shows: The park runs large theatrical productions throughout the day. The evening show and parade are highlights for families.
Ferrari Land
Adjacent to PortAventura, Ferrari Land is the only Ferrari-branded theme park outside Italy.
Red Force is the centrepiece: a vertical launch coaster that goes from 0 to 180 km/h in 5 seconds and reaches 112 metres. It is the tallest and fastest launch coaster in Europe. The rest of the park is more family-oriented — Ferrari simulators, junior driving experiences, and Ferrari-themed rides.
Caribe Aquatic Park
One of Spain's largest water parks, themed around the Caribbean. Open seasonally (May–September). Highlights include:
- King Khajuna — one of Europe's tallest water slides
- The wave pool and the lazy river
- Multiple slides for all ages and thrill levels
Getting to PortAventura
The easiest route from Barcelona is the direct train from Barcelona Sants to PortAventura station — the journey takes about 1 hour and the station is inside the resort. By car, the AP-7 motorway from Barcelona takes about 55 minutes.
Accessibility
Good overall accessibility. PortAventura has adapted access for all major areas. Wheelchair hire available at the entrance. Not all rides are accessible — check the park map on arrival.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before with full refund.
