The experience
The 7 monuments
- Church of Santo Tomé: The Burial of the Count of Orgaz, El Greco's masterpiece, in the place it was painted for.
- Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes: Isabelline Gothic, Toledo's most beautiful cloister and the chains of Christian captives on the facade.
- Mosque of Cristo de la Luz: from the year 999, the best-preserved mosque in Spain.
- Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca: five naves of white horseshoe arches; synagogue, church and now museum.
- Church of El Salvador: with Visigothic and mosque remains.
- Church of San Ildefonso (Jesuits): climb the towers for the best panorama of the city.
- Colegio de Doncellas Nobles: the least known and the quietest.
Planning the day
Start at San Ildefonso to get your bearings from the towers, walk down through the Jewish quarter to Santo Tomé (arrive before 11 am to avoid the groups), continue to Santa María la Blanca and San Juan de los Reyes, and finish at Cristo de la Luz on the way to the Bisagra Gate. If you do the Cathedral, do it in the morning with a separate ticket.
Accessibility
Varies by monument; cloisters and churches have steps. The San Ildefonso towers are not accessible.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before with full refund.
