The experience
What you'll see
The Catholic Monarchs founded the monastery in 1492, and building on its current site began in 1503. Hieronymite monks lived here until the 1835 confiscations and, since 1977, a community of Hieronymite nuns.
The route takes in the Compás, the processional cloister, the refectory, the "de profundis" hall, the chapter rooms, the sacristy (with the Niño Jesús de las Batallas) and the church, with a facade by Diego de Siloé.
