Our take
Taking the high-speed train instead of a coach saves a lot of time and lets you see Girona in a morning with a very small group. It is pricey for its length and non-refundable, so only book once your date is fixed.

Meeting point
Depends on the option chosen; the exact point in Barcelona is given when you book.

The experience
What you will see
- The Jewish Quarter (El Call), one of the best-preserved medieval Jewish districts in Europe.
- The Arab Baths inside and the cathedral from outside.
- The Eiffel bridge, the Onyar houses and views from the city walls.
How it works
You meet your guide in Barcelona and travel together by high-speed train to Girona, about 40 minutes. There you spend close to three hours exploring the old town on foot with entry to the Arab Baths, then take the train back to Barcelona. On Sundays the Arab Baths are swapped for the Museum of Jewish History.
Who I recommend it for
- Anyone with only half a day who wants to see Girona without driving.
- Travellers who prefer very small groups with more attention from the guide.
Who I don't recommend it for
- Anyone whose date is not fixed: it cannot be cancelled.
- Anyone wanting to combine Girona with the Costa Brava on the same day.
