The experience
The route
You start on La Rambla and head into El Raval, Barcelona's most multicultural neighbourhood. You see Palau Güell, Gaudí's first major work, and stop at one of the city's oldest bars, once a late-night haunt of Dalí, Picasso, Hemingway and other artists. You stroll the gardens of the old Santa Creu Hospital, where Gaudí died, and discover the area's street art.
Then comes Sant Antoni, full of terraces, with its newly restored market, and Poble-sec, where you have a pintxo with a glass of wine. The walk ends on the Rambla del Raval.
