Romantic things to do in Barcelona for couples, with prices (2026)

Short answer

The three things we most recommend for couples in Barcelona are a sunset sail with an open bar of cava, wine and beer (€55 per person, 2 hours, maximum 12 on board), the private tapas, wine and flamenco tour through the Gothic Quarter and El Born (€114 per person for two) and flamenco at Palau Dalmases, a 17th-century baroque palace (from €30 per person). For a different kind of evening, Casa Batlló by night with a rooftop concert and a glass of cava costs €59.

Sunset sailing

Two hours on a Beneteau Oceanis 41 from Marina Vela in Port Vell: you motor out past cruise ships and superyachts, the skipper raises the sails and you cruise along the coast as the city lights come on. On board there is an open bar of cava, wine and beer and snacks; you can help sail or do nothing at all. It is a small group, 12 people at most.

  • €55 per person; minimum age 8.
  • Bring a light layer for when the sun goes down.
  • Weather dependent: if cancelled, you get another date or a full refund.

A full evening: private tapas, wine and flamenco

A guide just for you spends two hours in the Gothic Quarter and El Born and seats you at a traditional restaurant for tapas, a glass of wine (or beer or vermouth) and a glass of cava each. It ends with skip-the-line entry to a flamenco show in a medieval palace, with a drink. Vegetarian option available. For two, it works out at about €114 each. You meet on La Rambla by the Frederic Soler "Pitarra" monument.

Flamenco in a 17th-century palace

Palau Dalmases is on Carrer Montcada in El Born, a few steps from the Picasso Museum. The show lasts 50 to 55 minutes, with performances at 5.30 pm, 6.45 pm, 8 pm and 9.15 pm, so it fits before or after dinner in the neighbourhood. Zone B costs €30; zone A (€40) and VIP (€50) include a drink and are closer to the stage. Capacity is limited: book ahead for weekends and summer.

If you would rather eat during the show, Tablao de Carmen, inside Poble Espanyol, serves dinner while the dancing happens, from €88 per person. We compare them in flamenco in Barcelona: which venue to choose.

Gaudí by night

  • Casa Batlló by night (€59): an audio-guided visit plus a one-hour live concert on the rooftop, with a reserved table and a glass of cava. The style changes by date (jazz, soul or flamenco). It is non-refundable and in summer sells out one or two weeks ahead.
  • La Pedrera by night (€39.50): a semi-guided visit with projections in the courtyards, an audiovisual show on the rooftop among the chimneys and a glass of cava at the end. In heavy rain the rooftop may close; if so, they reschedule or refund.

By day: wine with a view and photos

  • Rooftop wine tasting: six Spanish wines (sparkling, whites, rosé and reds) with snacks, on a rooftop overlooking Plaça de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia. Sessions between noon and 6 pm, €48 per person.
  • VIP private photo shoot: an hour with a professional photographer around the city's best-known spots, including the outside of the Sagrada Familia, and 45 to 50 edited photos for €125 per session, not per person.

A perfect day for two

  1. Morning: photo shoot with the Sagrada Familia as a backdrop.
  2. Midday: rooftop wine tasting.
  3. Sunset: sailing from Port Vell.
  4. Night: flamenco at Palau Dalmases and dinner in El Born; ideas in eating in Barcelona with criteria.

Practical tips

  • Book ahead for the sailing trip and Casa Batlló by night between May and September.
  • Outside summer, it is cooler on the water: bring a light jacket even on a nice day.
  • Proposals: the photo shoot and the tapas tour are private. If you have something planned, tell the operator when you book.
  • Cancellation: the sailing trip, private tour, Palau Dalmases, La Pedrera, wine tasting and photo shoot all offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before; Casa Batlló by night cannot be cancelled.

Common mistakes

  • Booking the sail and flamenco back to back: the boat returns to Marina Vela and El Born is a walk away. Leave some margin.
  • Buying Casa Batlló by night without checking that day's concert style.
  • Rushing Tablao de Carmen: your ticket includes Poble Espanyol from 4 pm, so make use of it before dinner.
