La Pedrera sells its tickets online by date and time, and the official site advertises savings of up to 25% if you book ahead. On Spanish bank holidays, at Easter and in summer the mid-morning slots fill up fast. A sold-out slot doesn't mean you miss Casa Milà: there are several ticket types with their own hours, a ticket with no date, and early-morning and night visits. These are the routes left, in the order worth trying them.

1. The official website: other times and other ticket types
Official sales are on lapedrera.com, which takes you to tickets.lapedrera.com. The general ticket (La Pedrera Esencial) costs €29 and covers the courtyards, the apartment, the attic and the rooftop with a video guide in 11 languages; the visit takes about an hour and a half. Children aged 0 to 11 go free and 12 to 17-year-olds pay €14.50. If your time shows as sold out:
- Go through every slot that day: until 1 November La Pedrera opens 9:00 to 20:30; from 2 November, 9:00 to 18:30. The afternoon usually has more space than mid-morning.
- Look at La Pedrera Sunset: the same visit at dusk, 17:30 to 20:30, from €25. The official site offers it until 1 November.
- Try the Open Date ticket: it costs €45, doesn't tie you to a date or time and gives you 6 months to use it, within daytime opening hours. It's the dearest option, but it doesn't depend on a particular slot.
- Move your day if you can: with the advance-booking discount, another date may also work out cheaper.
Before paying, consider the flexibility insurance (€1.90): without it, tickets can't be changed or refunded. And note the closures: La Pedrera is closed on 25 December and from 11 to 17 January 2027.
2. Early morning or at night
If the day is full, try either end of it:
- La Pedrera Sunrise: a guided group visit from 8:00 to 9:00, before the general public, covering the courtyards, apartment, attic and rooftop. It costs €39.50 and is guided in English or Chinese.
- La Pedrera Night Experience: a guided night visit lasting 1 hour 20 minutes, with a videomapping show on the rooftop and a glass of cava, for €39.50. Sessions run from 20:40 to 22:20 until 1 November and from 19:00 to 23:00 from 2 November. Guides speak Catalan, Spanish, English and Chinese.
3. The box office
La Pedrera has a box office in the building, but the official site warns that some rates cost more there than online, and that booking online saves you the queue. It's useful if there's still space in a slot that day, not as a plan for a sold-out day. The one advantage of the box office: discount coupons and cards can only be used there.
4. A resold ticket or a tour with entry included
When the official site has nothing left, licensed resellers usually still have places because they buy their allocations ahead. You normally pay a bit more than on the official site:
- Timed ticket with audio guide (from €29): the simplest way in if you just want to see the house.
- Early-access guided tour (from €39.50): you go in before general opening, with fewer people on the rooftop.
- Three Gaudí houses tour (from €119): Casa Vicens, Casa Milà and Casa Batlló with a guide; handy if you haven't sorted Casa Batlló either.
- Private tour of La Pedrera and Casa Vicens (from €156): the option for a group or if you want a guide just for yourselves.
Before paying, check that the listing says "La Pedrera entry included" and shows an entry time. Some Modernisme walks only look at the façades.
5. What you can see without a ticket
If you get nothing, Passeig de Gràcia still has plenty:
- The La Pedrera façade at number 92, on the corner of Carrer de Provença: the undulating stone and wrought-iron balconies are best seen from the opposite pavement.
- Casa Batlló and the rest of the Block of Discord (Casa Amatller and Casa Lleó Morera), further down the same avenue, about 10 minutes on foot.
Mistakes to avoid
- Buying from sites that look like the official one. They overcharge and don't always deliver a valid ticket. The official site is
lapedrera.com, with sales ontickets.lapedrera.com. - Skipping the flexibility insurance if your plans might change. Without it there are no changes or refunds.
- Counting on the rooftop if it rains. It closes for safety; if you haven't validated your ticket yet, you can move your visit to another date.
- Mixing up the ticket types. Sunrise and the Night Experience are guided visits at fixed times; Open Date has no time slot, but costs €16 more than the general ticket.
In one sentence
If your time is sold out on the official site, try another slot, Open Date, Sunrise or the Night Experience; if there's nothing left, book a resold timed ticket or a tour that includes entry.
