It packs the best of west Tenerife into half a day in a small group, something the big coach tours cannot offer. The natural pool swim makes it different; just note that if you get carsick, the drive up to Masca is noticeable.

The experience
What you will see
- The hamlet of Masca, tucked between ravines and once a pirate hideout.
- The Los Gigantes cliffs, over 600 metres high.
- Volcanic natural pools for a swim.
How it works
You are picked up in the south or in Puerto de la Cruz and travel up to Masca in a small-group vehicle. Then you stop for photos at Los Gigantes and finish at natural pools chosen to suit the tide, with a picnic, water, juice and fruit. You can optionally have lunch at a guachinche, paid separately.

- Couples and solo travellers after nature and a swim.
Who I don't recommend it for
- People with a fear of heights or who get carsick on winding roads.
