The best way to see Formentor now that the road is restricted in high season. Excellent scores for the skippers and the swim stops; the one recurring complaint is that the beach stop feels short.

The experience
What you'll see
You leave Alcúdia harbour on a fast speedboat and cross the bay, passing Alcanada island and its lighthouse, to Es Coll Baix beach. Next come the untouched coves of Cap Pinar, where you stop to swim and snorkel.
The route continues across Pollença bay to the tiny Es Caló beach beside La Fortaleza, then reaches Formentor beach and Cala Murta. The finale is the most dramatic part: the cliffs of Cap de Formentor, at the end of the Serra de Tramuntana, with the lighthouse high above.
How it works
About four hours with a skipper who talks you through the coast in Spanish and English. The boat is open and fast, so you feel it when the sea is choppy. Swim stops depend on the weather: travellers mention that some days there's only one. You can choose the hotel pickup option or make your own way to the marina.
Who it's for
For anyone who wants to see Formentor without battling the road in high season, and swim in coves you can't reach on foot. If you'd rather have a calm sightseeing cruise without swimming, the tourist boat from Port de Pollença suits you better.
Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchairs.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with a full refund.
