In the morning, the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral and San Miguel Basilica, with a stop to see the gardens of the Zarzuela Palace. After lunch (on your own), the tour continues to the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Philip II's great complex: basilica, library and royal pantheons.
