Our take
The lunchtime version of Native Spanish Tapas' tour, with more focus on wine. If you want to understand Spanish wines while eating well, it's a good pick; if you'd rather have dinner, the evening tour with paella is more complete.

The experience
What you'll see
A 3-hour midday walk through the streets of 18th-century Madrid and the La Latina quarter, stopping at three taverns. You start with homemade croquettes and a Toledo red aged in clay jars, pass Puerta del Sol and head into La Latina's tavern district to try cured meats, cheeses and wines from Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Rías Baixas.
How it works
The meeting point is the statue in the middle of Plaza de Isabel II (Ópera). The tour ends nearby with a traditional lunch of tapas such as paella, tortilla, calamari, patatas bravas or morcilla, plus the area's signature tostas. The guide explains the history of Spanish wine and of Madrid along the way. A vegetarian option is available if requested when booking.
Who I'd recommend it to
- Wine lovers who want to get to know Spain's main wine regions.
- Anyone who prefers a lunchtime plan to a late dinner.
- Couples or groups of friends who want to eat well in the centre.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, with a full refund.
