The experience
What you'll see
Faunia is Madrid's ecological theme park — not a zoo in the traditional sense, but a collection of eight fully recreated ecosystems that you walk through.
The Amazon rainforest
A large indoor tropical greenhouse with free-flying birds, reptiles and tropical fish. Temperature and humidity are maintained at rainforest levels.
The Arctic
A climate-controlled indoor Arctic environment with penguins, Arctic foxes and a polar bear enclosure. Bring a light jacket — it's genuinely cold.
African savanna and other ecosystems
Prairie, mangrove, jungle and desert habitats complete the park's range. Each ecosystem houses animals appropriate to that environment.
Who it's for
- Families who want something more educational and less crowded than the main zoo.
- Visitors on rainy or very hot days (the indoor ecosystems are climate controlled).
Who it's not for
- Those who need a traditional zoo with a wide variety of exotic animals in one glance.
Accessibility
Fully wheelchair accessible.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before with full refund.
