Our take
This is the cheaper, very complete alternative to the show, and for many people the more interesting one, because you see the school's daily work up close. Avoid Saturdays, which is exactly when there is no training. The carriage museum at the end is far from filler.

The experience
What you will see
- Horse and rider training in the arenas (except Saturdays).
- The octagonal stables and the tack room with the gala harnesses.
- The 19th-century palace and its gardens.
- The Museum of Equestrian Art, with eleven rooms on the horse in Andalusia.
- The carriage museum, which closes the visit.
How it works
You enter through the reception centre, where an audiovisual runs until 11:00, and tour the grounds with a guide: gardens, palace, museum, saddlery, indoor arena, stables and carriages. It is about two hours on foot, in groups of up to 40.
Who I recommend it for
- Anyone who wants to see how the school works from the inside.
- Anyone for whom the show's timing or price does not fit.
- Families with horse-loving children.
Who I don't recommend it for
- Anyone who can only go on a Saturday: you miss the training.
- Anyone expecting the full equestrian ballet.
