The experience
What you will see
The Basílica de San Juan de Dios (18th century) was built to house the remains of the founder of the Hospitaller Order and is one of the high points of Spanish Baroque: gilded altarpieces, paintings and sculptures covering every corner.
The most impressive part is the camarín, behind the high altar, which holds the urn of San Juan de Dios, co-patron saint of Granada. The audio guide explains the work of artists such as Tomás Ferrer and Atanasio Bocanegra and the story of the saint and his charitable work.
