Our take
Girona can be explored on foot in a morning, and with a guide the Jewish Quarter and the city's mix of walls, cathedral and colourful houses make much more sense. From 3 or 4 people, the private tour is worth it over the group one.

The experience
What the tour is like
You meet the guide at Plaça de la Independència, by the river. For 3 hours you explore the Barri Vell: the cathedral steps and the church of Sant Feliu, the narrow streets of the Jewish Call, a stretch of the city walls with views over the rooftops, and the colourful Onyar houses from its bridges. The guide tells you about the city's Roman, medieval and Jewish history, plus a few lesser-known corners.
Tickets aren't included: if you want to see inside the cathedral, you can do it afterwards.
Who I recommend it to
- Families and groups on a day trip from Barcelona or the Costa Brava.
- Anyone who wants to understand Girona, not just take photos.
- If you're travelling solo and want to save, see the small-group walking tour.
Accessibility
Not wheelchair accessible because of the steps in the old town.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation with a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. No refund within the last 24 hours.
