Our take
It's the cheapest and most flexible way to see Lobos: you arrive, walk at your own pace and come back when you like within the timetable. To walk round to the lighthouse and climb La Caldera, choose a return from 14:30 onwards. If you'd rather not walk and want food and activities included, the catamaran is better value.

The experience
What you'll see
- Lobos Island, a volcanic islet of about 4.7 km² protected as a natural park.
- La Concha beach, a lagoon of white sand and calm water a few minutes from the jetty.
- El Puertito, with its fishermen's huts and rock pools by the sea.
- Martiño lighthouse at the northern tip and La Caldera mountain (127 m), with views of Corralejo and Lanzarote.
How it works
This is a ferry ticket, not a guided tour: you go to Corralejo harbour, board the Corralejo Charter boat and in about 20 minutes you're at the Lobos jetty. Before boarding you choose your return from 12:15, 13:00, 14:30, 16:00 and 17:00. On the island you get around on foot along the marked trails; once back, you have the afternoon for Corralejo's old town.
The ticket includes natural park entry. Access to Lobos is limited by time slots (morning 10:00-14:00 and afternoon 14:00-18:00), so check that the authorisation appears in your name in the confirmation and, if in doubt, request it free of charge at lobospass.com. We explain it all in our guide to getting to Lobos Island.
Practical tips
- No shade: bring a hat, sunscreen and at least a litre of water per person.
- Eating: there's only one restaurant, near El Puertito. Pack sandwiches just in case.
- Walking: La Concha is five minutes from the jetty; the full loop with the lighthouse and La Caldera takes about three hours at an easy pace.
- Sea: if there's a swell, times may change.
Who I'd recommend it to
- Anyone who wants to walk and swim at their own pace without paying for a catamaran.
- Travellers on a tight budget.
- Hikers: Lobos is the start of the first Fuerteventura stage of the GR 131.
Who I would NOT recommend it to
- People with reduced mobility: the paths are dirt and stone.
- Anyone who wants everything sorted (food, drinks, snorkelling): the catamaran is a better fit.
Accessibility
Not suitable for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with a full refund.
