Our take
The highest rating of all the Fuerteventura activities we list (4.9) and one of the lowest prices. It works really well on your first day: it gets you oriented in Corralejo, you try the local classics and the guide gives you routes for the rest of the trip. If you already know Canarian food, the value is more in the conversation than in the tastings.

The experience
What you'll see
- El Campanario, with its 28-metre tower, where the walk starts.
- Avenida Grandes Playas and Avenida Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
- Corralejo's old town, dating from the early 19th century.
- The harbour, with views of Lobos and Lanzarote.
How it works
You meet the guide at the windmill next to the El Campanario shopping centre, opposite the taxi rank. For about two and a half hours you walk through town while the guide tells the story of Corralejo and Fuerteventura, stopping at corners you won't find in guidebooks and at local restaurants and shops for the tastings.
You try more than six products: goat's cheese, wrinkled potatoes with red and green mojo, local tomato with island salt and oil, caramelised banana with coconut, fig bread, gofio mousse and honey rum. The walk ends at the harbour, right among the beaches, bars and shops, and the guide gives you tips and routes for the rest of the island.
