Our take
The Subbética is inland Andalusia that hardly anyone visits from Córdoba: white villages among olive groves, Priego's Baroque and castles looking out over half the province. Private car and guide, no worrying about roads or timings. It's pricey for two, about €487 per person; for four it drops to about €290. Lunch is extra. No published reviews for this trip yet.

The experience
How the day works
You leave Córdoba for the Subbética, a natural park in the heart of Andalusia. First stop: Priego de Córdoba, capital of Córdoba's Baroque. You stroll the old Villa quarter, all narrow lanes and white squares, the Adarve balcony with its view over the district, the castle (entry included) and the Fuente del Rey with its 139 spouts, next to the Fuente de la Salud.
Then lunch at a local restaurant (not included). In the afternoon, Carcabuey castle, which once controlled the roads between five Andalusian provinces and shelters the hermitage of the Virgen del Castillo. On the way back to Córdoba you stop at the Araceli hermitage in Lucena, where legend says Noah's Ark ran aground.
