The experience
What you'll see
L'Aquàrium de Barcelona is one of the largest aquariums in Europe, home to 11,000 animals across 450 species, located in the Port Vell marina.
The shark tunnel
The star attraction: an 80-metre transparent tunnel — the longest in Europe — surrounded by sharks, rays and open-water fish above and on all sides. The tunnel moves slowly on a travellator.
The 35 tanks
From the Mediterranean to the tropical Atlantic, each tank recreates a different aquatic ecosystem. Highlights include the coral reef tanks and the open-ocean tank with the largest specimens.
Explora! children's area
An interactive section designed for younger visitors: touch tanks, fish ID games and educational displays.
Who it's for
- Families with children.
- Anyone who wants to walk through a shark tunnel.
Who it's not for
- Visitors who've already done Valencia's Oceanogràfic (much larger collection).
- Those not interested in marine life.
Accessibility
Fully wheelchair accessible.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before with full refund.
