It's one of the most affordable private tours we have: €160 for a couple gets you an official guide for two hours. A great way to understand Santiago on day one, then go back to the cathedral or the rooftops on your own.

The experience
What the tour is like
You meet the guide at Praza do Obradoiro, in front of the cathedral. In 2 hours you walk through the squares around it (Obradoiro, Platerías, Quintana and Inmaculada), the old-town streets, the Abastos Market and Alameda Park, which has the best view of the cathedral. The guide is official and tells you about the city's history, the Camino and its legends.
Who I recommend it to
- Anyone arriving in Santiago (on the Camino or not) who wants their bearings on day one.
- Families and groups: from 4 people it costs about the same as a free tour plus tip.
- If you mainly want to see inside the cathedral, see the Pórtico de la Gloria or rooftop tours.
Accessibility
Not wheelchair accessible according to the provider (cobbled, hilly streets).
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation with a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. No refund within the last 24 hours.
