Ibiza

Walled Dalt Vila, Es Vedrà and the most photographed coves in the Mediterranean. The world's party island and, at once, a place of surprising heritage and nature.

Ibiza is famous the world over for its nightlife, but the island is much more: it has a UNESCO World Heritage old town, turquoise coves and surprising protected nature. Its capital, Eivissa, has around 50,000 inhabitants.

The heritage heart is Dalt Vila, the walled upper town, with its Renaissance walls, the cathedral on top and views over the port. On the south-west coast, the legendary islet of Es Vedrà presides over the sunsets from Cala d'Hort, and across the island lie some of the most beautiful coves in the Mediterranean (Cala Comte, Cala Salada).

Half an hour by ferry is Formentera, with its Caribbean-clear beaches, the essential day trip. And then there's the other Ibiza: that of San Antonio and its sunsets, the boat parties and the most famous clubs on the planet —Pacha, Ushuaïa, Amnesia. The island is seen in two or three days, combining both sides.
