Our take
The road to Cadaqués is all hairpin bends; arriving by sea is prettier and takes you past the wildest stretch of the Cap de Creus coast. The 1.5-hour stop is tight but enough for the village. A good choice if you are based in Girona and want to see Cadaqués without driving the last stretch.

Good to know
What to bring
- Sunglasses and a hat
- A light jacket: it is windy at sea
- Comfortable shoes for Cadaqués
Not suitable for
- People prone to seasickness when there is a swell
Things to keep in mind
- Departures can be delayed by sea conditions
- The audio guide plays on your phone: bring battery and earphones
- To visit the Dalí House-Museum in Portlligat, book the ticket separately: capacity is very limited
Meeting point
Roses harbour (Girona). Depending on the option, there are also departures from Empuriabrava; the exact point is on your voucher.
Els Blaus de Roses leaves from the Roses seafront, next to the harbour. From Girona it is about 50 minutes by car on the C-260, or take the direct Sarfa bus to Roses. Arrive 15 minutes before departure.
The experience
What you will see
The boat leaves Roses and follows the coast of the Cap de Creus Natural Park to Cadaqués:
- Cala Nans lighthouse and slate cliffs that are best seen from the sea.
- The Roca del Gat, a rock shaped like a cat by the wind.
- Cadaqués, the white village that inspired Dalí, with 1.5 hours free.
How it works
You choose a departure time, show your voucher when boarding and listen to the audio guide on your phone during the crossing of just under an hour. In Cadaqués you have free time, then return on the same boat to Roses.
Who I recommend it for
- Anyone who wants to see Cadaqués without driving the winding road.
- Visitors based in Girona or Figueres looking for a half-day trip.
- Families: it is a short, easy outing.
Who I don't recommend it for
- Anyone who wants to spend the day in Cadaqués: 1.5 hours is short.
- Anyone who gets seasick easily when the tramontana wind blows.
Accessibility
Check with the provider before booking: boarding is via a gangway from the quay.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with a full refund.
